This month we had opportunities to experience music in Hungary. The music options are so amazing here. Since we've moved here we've been able to see operas, musicals, ballets, symphonies, numerous festivals of singing and dancing, its been great! It was really fun this month experiencing music with Brooklynn. They actually have a baby concert here every 2 weeks. You can bring your baby and they can play and crawl around while live musicians play. Brooklynn really enjoyed it and afterwards they let the babies touch and play the instruments. I think its really cool that they have such a thing so babies can experience music early on.
Also this month we went to a children's opera. We have a good Hungarian friend who was making his debut performance in a children's opera of The King's New Wardrobe. The opera room was filled with excited children and the performance was excellent! Brooklynn couldn't sit through the whole thing, she was much to excited. She wanted to dance around and make all kinds of noise, so good thing we were in the back, but she really liked it and we enjoyed it too!
And on a side note, it just so happens that I've been to 3 different restaurants this month that had a play area in the restaurant. And it wasn't like a crummy McDonald's, 2 were a nice cafe type and one was an amazing restaurant on the edge of Lake Balaton. So also really cool that restaurants set up play areas making it easier to enjoy eating in a restaurant!
